Internet applications
Mozilla Firefox - is a web browser that allows you to browse web pages, search using search engine, etc. It is an alternative to Internet Explorer that comes with Windows system by default.
How we use it: Mozilla Firefox is the main browser we use to work on our projects. We also use Mozilla cool add-ons to work faster and more efficient.
FileZilla - is a free File Transfer Protocol application, used to transfer data from one computer to another through a network such as the Internet.
How we use it: to download files to the client servers, and upload files from servers to our computers. Since you can save the FTP credentials, connecting to several location is a matter of clicking the connection name, without hassle with FTP address, passwords, etc. Every connection can also have information about the starting folder on a remote computer, as well as, on a local computer, which allows immediate access to the files that are supposed to be transferred.
You can find more free and open source tools at the SourceForge.Net or by using a search engine to browse the internet.
